Directing

I have always been a visual thinker. When I read a great play, I immediately need to get on my feet and start playing with it. Directing allows me to create entirely new worlds out of words.

As a student of anthropology, I have always been intensely curious about the world and the many ways to inhabit it. My work is frequently anthropological — drawing on ethnographic texts, anthropological theory, and social history.

I believe that creativity is only possible with kindness. As I lead my team towards a unified vision, I strive to create rooms that are warm, welcoming, and joyful. I strive for wacky ideas, bold swings, and loud laughter. Our best work is made collaboratively.
